Experts estimate that at least100,000 children are trafficked in the United States each year. That does not even include the thousands of adults who are trafficked daily.
Victims of trafficking are forced into various forms of commercial sexual exploitation including prostitution, pornography, stripping, live-sex shows, mail-order brides, military prostitution and sex tourism.
At Songs Against Slavery, we are joining in the fight against sex trafficking in the U.S. We raise awareness and funds through benefit concerts and partnerships with musicians.
Who we help:
We help a local nonprofit with each benefit concert that we put on. These people are working with women and men to get out of trafficking every day and are the experts in their areas.
How we help:
Funds: At each fundraiser, 100% of donations go directly to the local nonprofit as well as a portion of ticket profits.*
Awareness: With each show, attendees are getting to know more about what trafficking looks like in their areas.
Partnerships: Attendees have the chance to partner with a local organization so that the solution to this injustice can be worked on long after the show is over. We also raise money through our artist partnership program! Read more about it by clicking the Artist Partnership Program button below.
*After costs, 80% of our ticket profits go towards the local beneficiary. 20% comes back to SAS so that we can continue our work around the U.S.
